The night before last Jeremy had snuck into one of the houses that his father owned. They were back in America now, and as far as he knew his father was still off hunting dragons and wouldn't be home for some weeks. He had collapsed tiredly on the couch after motioning Bri into the guest room. It was almost midnight and he was exhausted, the meeting with the Elder dragons had not gone quite as well as he had wished it too. They had grumbled something about Empathy, hardly a full sentence, and then sent the four of them on their way.
Now Kinon was curled up somewhere in the woods and God knew where Knucker was....
He was soon fast asleep, thoughts of the Elder's and the other happenings that day forgotten as he wandered the dream realms.
---
It was morning and Kinon yawned widely, stretching out hands in front of him and legs. He opened bleary eyes and looked around. He wasn't... in the woods. His eyes widene, focusing intently on the wall in front of him. He tore himself from the couch, leaping to his feet. Only to promptly fall over, pinwheeling his arms as he plopped back into the couch.
"I what..." he blinked in surprise as the words came from his mouth and he attempted to get up again, staring in shock at his feet. His bare feet. Toes... Human pink digits.
"What the hell?" Three simple words that summed up the situation pretty well. Don't you think?
"WHAT THE HELL?" His voice was let out in a roar as he turned to stare at his body, a pair of jeans that were, perhaps, a bit too tight and a shirt that was too short on his long frame. No tail.... No paws... hands flew to his face. No snout. No whiskers.
Well Hell...

Bri fell asleep on Jeremy's guest bed, pulling the covers over her head and sighing. To say that the visit with the Elder's went badly was an understatement. It didn't take her long to fall into a troubled sleep...
Knucker woke up beneath a tent of floral-patterned fabric. He flung it off with one arm, sitting up with a shout. Wait. ARM! He glanced down. Human toes, fingers, very human. "WHAT THE HELL?!" He sprang from bed, stumbling over his two feet, glancing in the mirror.
Yes. Human. Tall, muscled, two legged, pale human. A shock of saphire-blue hair, the same color his scales normally wore, topped his head, a lock of which hung into his eyes. Bri had pointed out the style to him once, what had she called it? Emo. Damn. Not only was he human, but he had a terrible hair cut.
It took him another second to realize he was wearing Bri's clothes, the ones she normally slept in. A pair of tiny orange shorts and a floral tank top that looked really weird on a guy. He jerked open a drawer and found a pair of Jeremy's jeans and a button-up top. Bless that kid. He pulled on the jeans, a little short, the shirt a little tight, but workable, and poked his head out of the door.
There was a tall blond standing near the couch. "WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?" Knucker demanded, trying to sound as if he was normally human, and totally belonged in a Dragon Hunter's house.

Kinon was feeling his face, feeling his promanite nose and eyebrows, eyelashes. "No.. Nononono. No a bad dream. A terribly bad dream. That's all this is! All. This. Is." but he climbed upon the couch and was crouching slightly, as though he were getting ready to take off into the air, launch himself into the sky. However just before he leapt from the couch a man lurched into the room, stopping him cold. 'Who the Hell are you?' he was shouting and Kinon nearly lost his balence again, pinwheeling his arms and finally squatting, arms held in front of him, ready to punch. His lips lifted in a snarl at the blue haired man and a growl escaped his lips, a curse in the language of dragons, a rather rude and crude curse at that.
"Who am I? Who the hell are you?" Teeth were bared and he flicked a glance from his hands to the blue haired man. A fat lot of good these flimsy hands would do against him. But he'd fight the man if he had to, fight to the death. After all.. he had teeth. Teeth worked nicely against flesh, he made sure to lift his lips a bit higher over slightly sharpened and pointed teeth. Dark blue eyes flashed with frustration and anxiety.
He was torn between launching himself at the man and taking him down and fleeing the house. But he did neither, not yet. "A dream." he reminded himself. "A dream. Nothing but a dream." but he glanced at the man, the house and he found that he recognized the surroundings from Jeremy's words and descriptions. "Dragon Hunter." the words hissed between his teeth and his eyes focused harshly on the man. Short pale blond hair stuck out from Kinon's now human head in spaztic spikes which swayed slightly as he jerked his head up to get a better look at Knucker.
Bed head much?

Knucker let the door open completely, tensing to fight, cursing this human shape with every cuss word he knew, and some in the language of dragons, which was spectacularly foul.
He would rather not fight in this terribly off-balance and weak form, but whatever. He balled his hands into fists, as he had seen human men do in movies when he was small enough to fit inside a house. As a dragon. Damn. When the man hissed "Dragon Hunter." Knucker launched himself at him, only to have his ridiculous new hair fall in his eyes as he swung his fist wide and missed, crap. Humans were not built for fighting. He aimed his next punch at the man's gut, and froze.
What had the other person said? "Dragon Hunter." Wait a minute, he knew that voice. He struggled to place it, where he had heard it, straightening with wide eyes.
"KINON?!" Knucker shouted with disbelief. "It's Xenis." He informed the other dragon. Human. Dragman?
"If we're here. Where the *dragon curse* are Bri and Jeremy?" He pushed his hair out of his eye again, swearing, "WHAT THE HELL?!"

The human in front of him, Kinon dimly was aware of the fact that his voice was much the same as someone he knew. Knucker. How odd... But that wouldn't stop him from defending himself. As the man came forward, launching himself at him Kinon leapt into the air. Of course he didn't fly, so when he came down he hit the ground, attemtped to land on his feet, stumbled and fell. Kinon rolled and was stunned for only a moment before jumping to his feet, knee's bent.
The next punch was aimed at his gut when the other man with the shock of blue hair froze. Kinon took his chance and balled his own fist launching it at the man's face, he knew from Jeremy that the face was a fair place to hit. If you broke their nose or bruised an eye they could be momentarily distracted, of course you could always knock them out. That would be preferred.
The man shouted. "KINON? It's Xenis." and many more things, something about Bri and Jeremy but Kinon was moving too fast now, although his brain had processed the information his fist was still moving at a rather fast clip, towards Knucker's cheek.

Knucker meant to dodge, he really did, but he was used to having a much longer neck, so the ducking motion that would have taken his dragon head far out of range only shifted his human face in a better punching position. Kinon's fist connected with his face and sent him reeling back, he shouted another curse, thinking absentmindedly that if Bri was here she'd be appalled.
Knucker grabbed his jaw with one hand and ducked away from Kinon with another. "OI!" He shouted at the other dragon. Human. "What the hell was that for?" He rubbed his jaw, trying to ignore the throbbing. As a dragon, he could have taken a hit like that no problem. Bother.
"What the hell is going on here? And where are Bri and Jeremy?" He asked again, narrowing his eyes at Kinon, slightly miffed that he had been hit, even more miffed that he had forgotten his much-shorter neck and BEEN hit.

He crouched there a moment more, blinking dark blue eyes at his fellow Dragon. Well rather... human but... inside they were still their dragonish selves right? He stared at his fist and then at Knucker, who had been sent flying. He opened and closed his sore hand, knuckles smarting. He hadn't known that his flimsy human could be that strong... Humans could pack quite the punch (harhar) couldn't they?
"I... I well. Oh never mind." he shook his hand and snorted. "Look I'm sorry ok! I don't know where they are. What happened too them..." he looked around the house and then glanced at his hand, running a light finger over the knuckles. "Maybe we should check the rest of the house and look around?" he asked, glancing at the room Knucker had vacated.
At least he wasn't alone in his little dilemma. At least he had a... well a friend to suffer with him. Also he already felt better after punching Knucker, as if the stress had been relieved a bit, the pressure released. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, running a hand through pale blond hair. He was use to hair, he had fur after all... when he was a dragon... but not having it all over his body. Now that was weird...

Knucker pulled on his blue lock of hair hanging over his eye, frowning "I never saw the point of hair." He growled, sighing and jamming his hands in his pockets. He poked his head in the room next to the one he had awoke in, glowering around the interior of the room before turning back to Kinon.
"If we woke up where they went to sleep, and trust me, I think that's what happened..." He remembered Bri's pajamas with an internal sigh. "Then wouldn't they be where we went to sleep?"
He glanced at the kitchen through an open doorway, catching sight of a microwave. When he had lived in Bri's house she had never let him play with one. Said she was afraid he'd crawl inside and cook himself. Sigh. She underestimated his intelligence. He did wonder how it worked though. The first priority was to find the humans though, and then perhaps they would have time to play with the appliances. Maybe even the remote. Heh heh.
"I was somewhere at the bottom of the bay last night, so maybe that's where they are? Or... Bri at least."

Kinon was busy feeling his hair. It was, perhaps, slightly coarser than his normal fur, but much the same color. "Fur... or hair... keeps you warm. Humans use it as a fashion statement sometimes." He muttered, filling in Knucker. "I don't know.... I mean I assume I woke up where Jeremy went to sleep. He didn't contact me before he went to bed other than to say "good night" and something about annoying springs." he turned to look at the couch. "So... I guess the couch then... But.. where would they..." he trailed off, an idea coming to him.
"Could they... have switched with us then? Bodies? Or.... well obviously not bodies." he prodded his chest through the slightly too small shirt. "Jeremy's not ah... Buff... I think is how he would put it." he prodded his chest again and then ran his tongue over his teeth. "I fell asleep in the forest, twined around the tree's. There's not many places for an Air dragon to hide." his eyes glazed slightly as he stared at the couch, thinking, attempting to contact Jeremy. "Jeremy. Jer where are you?"
He was silent, furrowing his brow as he attempted to speak to his human. For a moment there was nothing. "Jeremy!"
"Huggn. Five minutes." Kinon brightened somewhat. "Well.. they're here somewhere Jeremy's still sleeping."
"Jeremy Wake up! It's important!" "I said five minutes." The reply was sleepy and groggy. "Damn it puss brain! Wake. Up. Now. It is important. Crucial that you do!" "Later, Mother ..." the reply was snotty, sleepy still.

Knucker snorted, "Let me give it a try."
He glared out the window, at the waves crashing on the shore in the distance. "BRI!" He mentally shouted.
"What? Are you okay-OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! Fuck."
Knucker was so surprised by the curse word he almost swallowed his tongue, choking he managed to clear his airway. "Are you okay?
" I AM NOT! I AM A LIZARD!"
"The word you're looking for is Dragon."
"Ungh. What on earth is going on here? WHAT DID YOU DO?"
"Why do you automatically assume I did something?"
"Did you?"
"I don't think so." Knucker racked his brains, had he said anything to cause this? You'd think something like that would be memorable, but all he could recall was sulking back here after the failed meeting with the elders.
"You didn't happen to keep this conversation private did you?" Bri asked, Knucker grinned over at Kinon.
"Nope. Should I have?"
Bri sighed mentally. I look like a bright blue alligator. I'm hideous. Hold on, I'm swimming up to the beach, come find me."
"WAIT!" Knucker cut her off. "Dragon hunters. Stay put."
"Oh." Bri's voice sounded small and scared.
"I'm coming. Sit tight." Knucker assured her. He turned to Kinon, "Do you know where to find Jeremy?"

Kinon stamped his foot in frustration. "Fine." he crooned in his head, though his face was a mask of frustration. "Sleep a bit longer." and he whirled to look at Knucker, ignoring the sleepy "Mmm...Ok..." from Jeremy.
"Jeremy is refusing to get up." the words hissed from him and he looked at the window. "I need to go. Brianna is a morning person so you should be able to control her easily enough, right? Jeremy... isn't a morning person. I don't want him flying into the air when he wakes and finds out he's a dragon, for this must have happened to him... it happened to Bri right? From what I heard... well it's what I gathered." He tapped a barefoot on the ground and scowled at the window, crossing his arms over his chest.
His slightly pointed teeth gnawed on his fleshy human lip and he sighed. "I'd better go find Jeremy, he's probably where I fell asleep. You can come with me or go after Brianna." Kinon's voice was slightly distant as he looked out the window at the sky. How could all this have happened and why had it happened. He could only think of one thing, the Elder Dragons, together they could do something such as this! And considering they had all seen them only last night it was the only explanation that was making sense to Kinon at the moment.
Without waiting for Knucker's answer Kinon moved at a quick pace to the door. He wrenched it open and burst into a jog, heading across the small gravel road and into the tree's beyond. He traveled swiftly, despite the sticks and rocks that pressed and cut at his bare feet. He ignored the pain, his sole concern on Jeremy and what the oaf might do if he woke up.
He came upon the Air dragon and a sigh escaped his parted lips. "Thank the Elders.' and he slowed his pace, approaching the sleeping 'dragon' carefully. This had to be Jeremy, it was where he, Kinon, had fallen asleep the night before. Only this dragon had peach colored fur and pale yellow wings. He was also shorter and thinner than Kinon had been when he was a dragon. Interesting, so they had both changed more than just their species...
He continued to move forward until he could reach out and place a hand on Jeremy's front paw. The Jeremy dragon twitched and his face scrunched up a bit in sleep.

Knucker watched Kinon leave with a frown (how the hell had they gotten themselves into this?) and then jogged off in the direction of Bri, pausing to brush his hair out of his eye again, swearing vehemently. He snuck down to the water line, pausing only to strip off his human shirt, diving into the water in his jeans. No sense ruining a perfectly good shirt, especially because it wasn't his. And also it didn't fit right, making it extraordinarily annoying.
It was comforting to know that he could still breath underwater as easily as he did when he was a dragon, still feel the pull of the current's and locate most marine life in the area if he listened. He got a good twenty feet below the surface before an unfamiliar shape swam up to greet him.
"Knucker? A familiar voice asked in his mind.
"Bri?" His own voice sounded just as amazed. Her dragon shape was much different than his. she was shaped like much like an alligator or a crocodile, about ten feet in length. Four short, stubby legs, a long tail, ice blue in color. Her head was different than a croc's though, even though her body was very similar. Her head was diamond shaped, with small white fangs poking out from beneath her upper lip, her eyes on the top of her head, the perfect placement for lurking beneath the water and watching what went on.
Bri was just as amazed as Knucker was. He looked so different, a tall, slender body with broad shoulders, and quite a nice six-pack, sapphire blue hair in what looked like an Emo-flip. Still, if she looked closer, their was something inhuman in the angles of his face, in his familiar dark eyes.
"It's me." Knucker assured her, reaching out to pat the top of her head hesitantly.
"You look..." She hesitated.
"Weird? Friekish? Unnatural?" He suggested, grinning.
"Um, Not Ugly...."She searched for the right words, feeling a bit embarrassed. She attempted to smile at him, but it only resulted in a frightening expression, baring her fangs.
"Sexy?" Knucker offered.
Bri snorted "Yeah, that's the word I was looking for." She drawled sarcastically.
Knucker shook his head and swung onto her back, laying along her back just behind her head. "Let's go find Jeremy and Kinon. I want to see his reaction." Bri laughed and set off swimming, following his directions towards the forest where he thought Kinon had gone.

It wasn't too hard to get Jeremy to wake up after that. Kinon grabbed hold of one of his ears and yanked. "Wake up you idiot." a large blue eye opened and Jeremy yawned widely. "What..." the sleepy reply came. It took maybe half a second before Jeremy's eyes opened wide. "What the hell? Crap!" his head jerked up and Kinon tumbled from his shoulders with a grunt. "Calm down damnit!" he waved his arms, around. "Calm! You stupid human!" But Jeremy was looking at his paws.
'Paws! Paws! I shouldn't have them! I shouldn't have paws or fur or or! FUCK!" He twisted this way and that trying to see all of his new body. "How did this happen! What the hell is going on here?!" It seemed like this was when he truely noticed Kinon, jumping around, trying to avoid feet, tails and wings.
"Calm down! Chill out!" he lurched out of the way of a flailing wing. 'For the love of! Jeremy calm the crap down!" He finally resorted to shouting through their mental connection. Jeremy had grown still, staring down at the guy in front of him. He looked... vaguely familiar but he couldn't quite pl- "Kinon?" He asked leaning down to stare at him. "You are brilliant Einstein." "No fucking way...."
Now that he had Jeremy settled, sort of, Kinon took a look at the damage that had been done. Jeremy certainly flailed a lot, several tree's had been reduced to toothpicks and the grass and shrubbery had been trampled flat. "You really are not a morning person are you?" Sarcastic as usual.

It took Bri a moment to adjust to swimming in her new body, her alligator legs kicking easily through the water, body snaking through the water. Knucker just say quietly behind her shoulder blades, hands resting on her head, allowing her to get her bearings before he resumed berating her with sarcasm.
She gave a lurch of surprise as she moved from the saltwater of the ocean to a freshwater river, following the gentle nudges Knucker gave her, steering her towards where Kinon had separated from him. "Is the change from saltwater to freshwater always so...extreme?" She wondered. It was like walking in from the un-polluted outside air to the artificial environment of an office building.
"Um...yes?" Knucker offered, looking around as they swam, still trying to get used to his shorter neck. It was so inconvenient! How could humans see anything?
Bri took another deep breathe of the fresh water, pumping her legs harder, snapping at a fish that drifted past her instinctively. She was surprised at how easily she swam up-stream, her dragon muscles taking the flow of water like it was nothing.
Just as she was wondering when on earth they would find the other two, a loud crashing sound split the silence. Bri surfaced more, so her entire head was above the water, not just her eyes.
"Look, it sounds like someone just shot a duck. I think I found the other two. Call to Jer, will you?"
"What?"
"Dragon powers babe, call just like you would to me, only...farther."
"Oh, don't babe me." Bri snapped, and then, focusing on pushing her voice out even more, shouted, "Jeremy?"
Knucker poked her roughly in the head then, and she swam obligingly to shore, scampering up on the bank. Ugh, Land was so awkward. She didn't voice the thought, but she could feel Knucker's amusement over their connection. Now she knew why he objected to coming up on land all the time. Ahead of them, she could see a circle of trampled grass and fallen tree's, was a tall, somewhat nerdy looking blond human and an unfamiliar peach dragon.
"Jeremy?" Bri couldn't help but gasp again. He was covered in peach fuzz, and she was a blue lizard. "Oh tarter sauce..." this was so embarrassing.

Jeremy was about to give Kinon a piece of his mind, he was, after all, the bigger of the two now and could easily shut him up. "I'll have you kno-" but he paused as a voice rang in his head. It was rather loud and obnoxious, and oddly familiar. He swung his head around to look at the river at the blue alligator looking thing. "Crap! Brianna?" Jeremy could only stare at her and the man that was seated on top of her. "Hey! Knucker! You found her! Thank goodness." Kinon waved at him.
Jeremy snorted. "Tarter sauce?" he asked with a wild look in his eyes. "Well thank you SpongeBob! How's that pineapple house workin for ya?! Say hi to Squidward for me when you see him!" He eyed her 'You.. You look like a flipping alligator, only rougher around the edges!" There seemed to be a hysterical tone to his thoughts. "And me?! Oh look at me I'm freaking apricot colored dragon. Hehehe!" He was hyperventilating now, pawing at the ground.
Kinon glanced at Knucker. "I betcha he's down in less then five minutes, out like a light. Any takers?"
