WIP!
Crystal Smith
Age: 16 Gender: Female
Appearance: Quite the normal female teen, standing at around 5' 4". Her skin is finely tanned, her lightly curled hair in a dark brown. Her build is fair, neither skinny nor chubby. She lacks too much muscle, but does keep at least slightly toned, although not too noticeable. Crystal's eyes stand out against her skin, an odd olive green color. Her attire normally consists of jeans and a t-shirt. It's rare to find her with a skirt or dress on, they're not her fancy, but she finds them to be okay. Accessories consist of a bandanna (often tied cow-boy style around her neck) and a necklace with a black opal pendant.
Personality: Over all, she can be described as a golden retriever; loyal and reliable. Crystal tends to put others before herself, hosting a deep concern for the well being of others, even if at her own expense. Isn't exactly the bravest around, but courage is a quality held deep within. (Like, she wouldn't bungie jump off a cliff for the fun of it, but would if another's life is in danger.) Has a positive outlook on things, and refuses to be put down by anything. Tends to hide the actual emotions to negative situations and show positive ones instead. Because of this, dire situations will bring out the stress within, and a rather serious side will show. Tries to avoid that kind of situation at all costs, but that hasn't always worked... Around strangers, she tends to stay quiet and observe for a minute or two - the internal question being how will this person react to me? If deemed to be friendly enough, she'll try to spark up a small chat. If not, then she'll just go about on her way and carry on. With Gonn, even for having him for only four months, she hosts a deep care for him, sure to tend to his needs. Even if she only stands to reach his elbow, she often treats him as her 'baby', still calling him little at times. She's mastered reading his body language, and even though he might not speak much, she'll know exactly what he's saying.

Gonn - Earth Dragon Age: 6 Months Gender: Male Appearance: As earth dragons are, Gonn has a rather thick build, toned with dense muscles. His head is T-rex-like, long, round. His lower jaw doesn't come to meet the upper one precisely, the tip missing from an accident with hunters traps. His front row of outer teeth hang in the missing spot. His lips are spotted with teeth, hanging out like a crocodile's. If he were to open his mouth, another set of sharp silver teeth would appear. Twisted ivory tusks protrude from his mouth, attached to his upper jaw. They extend to just reach his chin. Thick flat scales line the top of his snout, ending right before his eyebrows. On his brows, three pointed spikes protrude, smoky gray in color. At the end of his head on either side, large black iridescent horns protrude and curl outward at the end. Down along his thick neck and along his back are large pointed spikes, in sets of threes and fours. These gray spines continue down and end at the base of his tail. There is a notable absence of these spines on the space on his back between his wings. His belly scales are large and rusty blue, tinted with a slight iridescence. Scales on his chest area have protrusions that point upward. These protrusions end at his belly. Spines similar to the ones on his back protrude at his elbows and ankles, although these appear only in sets of three. His knees have one large spike on them each, pointed backwards. All four of his paws have four digits, and two backwards protruding spikes. His back legs have a small dew claw each. His wings are thick, like the rest of his body, toned with strong muscles. The tips of his wings have four digits, seeming like three fingers and a thumb. He often uses them to manipulate objects, since his forepaws are useless for such a task. The membrane of his wings are thick as well, large spines poking from the back side of them. The ends of his wings are splayed, almost resembling bird feathers. This is natural in his line of earth dragon. His tail is long, surpassing the length of his body. It is loosely finned with spikes like the ones along his back. The end of his tail is splayed with a large, flexible spine. Its used as a rudder in flight, as earth dragons have a hard time in flight. Gonn stands at about 18ft tall from his shoulders, 22ft from the top of his head. From nose tip to tail tip, he measures about 37ft, 20ft of that being tail alone. His wingspan totals to 43ft, each wing about 21ft long. Personality:He's stubborn, once he makes up his mind on something, there's no convincing him to do otherwise. He tends to impose his will upon others, using his bulk as a method of control. If that doesn't work, he'll drop the subject. Gonn doesn't like to speak, one must know how to read his body language to figure what he wants. He doesn't mind voicing himself by grunts, snorts, and hisses, however. By no means does this mean he's a lesser dragon, his intellect is as great as any other dragon's of his age. Tends to be blunt about things, lacks any sense of humor, keeps his emotions to himself, and rather serious. All around boring, really. He's a caring fellow, however, keeping a close watch over friends, to keep them from danger. Keeps an even closer watch over Crystal, he hates to be too far from her. When together, he's rather protective, making sure she stays safe. A proclaimed duty of his, and there's no changing his mind over that. He has a tolerance of strangers, until they make an action that deems them either hostile or safe. First impressions are key to him, and with his stubborn quality, he'll likely won't change his mind on how he perceives someone. [/center]

~ History ~
Before the dragon: Crystal spent most of her life growing up in Virginia, from childhood to middle school. The household usually consisted of her and her grandparents. Her parents frequently travel and with her 'becoming of age', started to take her on their travels. For two years at a time, they would travel to a new area, then return home for two years for her. They've started taking her at age 15, living a year out of her home in California so far. North Italy, near the Alps is the current place of resident.
The Meeting:
The Alps were a must to visit - for sight seeing. Being a lover of nature, Crystal found herself wandering away from the safety of camp. She was armed with a pistol, for 'just in case' protection. It was lent to her by her father; he understood and allowed her independent ways, but of course as any father, wanted for her to be safe. A small pack carried a flare gun, strips of cloth, some snacks, her camera, and her laptop. The pistol was kept on her belt, along with her phone. The finishing touch was a pocket knife, well, in her pocket. The short hiking trip turned out to be not so short, however. Lost away in the scenery, time didn't matter anymore. The land was beautiful and rich with forest life. At times, she reached flatter portions of the mountains that opened into clearings, giving quite the scenic view of the land around. At others, the land turned steep and rocky, a bit of fun to venture up. All the fun turned to fear, however. Looking back, Crystal lost her way. Retracing steps didn't quite work, being too involved with the view, she didn't remember where exactly she came from. Panic didn't seep in just yet, but concern did. Waiting to use the flair seemed to be better, it was a signal for danger or distress, neither of which was was in. Yet. Continuing onwards, (or backwards?) Crystal headed deeper into the wooded mountain. And soon, an odd sound started to resound through the forest.. The noise didn't grow farther or closer, as Crystal stay still to listen to it. It didn't sound like anything else she'd ever heard before. Perhaps.. Something like a lion, but much deeper, almost.. Well, almost what she thought a rock would sound like (besides silent, that is). It brought her mind off from being lost, the teen oddly drawn to the sound. Her hand fingered around the pistol, wondering if it would be needed. Could never know. Following the direction of the noise, she pressed onward. Nestled between two trees, the source was found.
A dragon.
It was small, for a dragon, it couldn't be any taller then her waist. Must be a hatchling, she thought to herself. She stood a few yards away from it, wondering what the problem was, why it was making so much noise. A twig snapped beneath her, and the dragon jerked, its blue eyes set onto hers. She flinched at the stare, and at the condition the dragon was in. It was caught in a hunter's trap, bleeding profusely from its lower jaw, which was clamped by a bear trap. It's wings and limbs were fastened tightly with some sort of net, not any normal kind of net to catch animals either. A dragon hunter's trap.
"Shhh, I'll help you", she cooed at the thing, slowly approaching. Her love of helping ones in dire situations over-rided the instinct to run away from the beast. The dragon snorted, and struggled to try to free itself, eyes planted on the human before him. "Shhh! Please, dragon, I won't hurt you.",she cooed again, pressing onward. The creature refused in protest of snorts and grunts, opening its mouth filled with its own blood to show off its two rows of pointed teeth. "Look, I won't hurt you, dragon. I will free you, okay?", with that, she took off her pack, and detached the pistol from her belt, moving them off to the side. It calmed the dragon. He probably knew what the pistol could do. They watched each other very carefully, Crystal eyeing the dragon, and the dragon eyeing her. It mumbled a low growl as she started to examine the bear trap. The metal was saturated in the dragon's deep red blood. The thing must have been exhausted, losing so much. Even with dragons being a hardy animal, they have their limits. She had little knowlegde on how the traps worked, but they were pressure based, so pressure must reset them, or so her logic was. Fiddling with it, and she found the weak spot, pressing enough to let the dragon free itself, before letting go and springing the trap, a heavy snap sounding in the air. The part of the dragon's jaw caught in the trap was hanging lifelessly. The trap had sliced straight through the bone, even. It would have to be treated, she thought, leaving the dragon in the net to retrieve the cloth from her pack. She was careful in bandaging the wound, the dragon allowed it, but she met the delimma of the hanging part. It would have to be cut off, attached only by skin and scales. "I'm sorry", she murmered, before quickly taking her pocket knife and severing the part from the dragon. It howled and bit into the cloth bandages, nearly biting her hand. The dragon had a understanding, yet questioning, feirce look in its eyes. Carefully, Crystal resumed bandaging its jaw, avoiding the dragon's gaze. When finished, she took her pocket knife again and began working through net in several places. With a bit of squirming from the dragon, the net gave way. The black scaled creature rose to its feet swiftly, eyes still staring at the human. Their eyes met again, for a breif moment that seemed to last an hour, before the dragon took off, ending its interaction with the human girl.
It seemed as if the dragon never existed after the whole ordeal, besides the blood on her hands and shirt. She was still lost in the maze of the Italian Alps..
-Meets the elder of the alps -still can't find the way out. -gets hurt in some way, and Gonn saves her -Gonn is gone, but she's able to find the way out -Finds that Gonn followed her
Now what: -4 months since the dragon -still in Italy
