Jeremy turned and grabbed a bag from the floor inside his room and then walked in front of the TV, heading for the kitchen. "Okay." he said on a sigh. This was going to be... interesting. He paused at the entrance to the kitchen and looked over at him. "I've been in England." Jeremy replied to Terrance's question quickly and moved on to the next, hoping he wouldn't question how exactly he had gotten there in a short ammount of time.
"Nothing's going on. I found Brianna" he stressed her name, annoyed, despite himself. "Um... around..." He finished lamely. Jer turned back to the kitchen, ready to head in and pack it. However the 'stripper' comment had him turning around in surprise. "Terrance!" he hissed. "Really? Really? Would I go out 'stripper searching'?" he rubbed his eyes and then let out a laugh. "You would think that of me though wouldn't you?" he gave his friend a wide grin, trying to keep the stress off his face.
"In and out..." that plan didn't seem to be going so well.

Terrance had a problem. Or rather, a choice. A tough choice. On one hand, it was his duty as roommate to continue harassing Jeremy until he got a straight answer and a decent explanation from the kid. On the other hand, it wasn't hard to figure out what was going on. The kid was finally getting lucky, and wanted to go spend some time with his woman. She was a bit on the scrawny side, but she had decent hair, even if she was a little crazy. So did he continue hounding the kid, or let him go? As a friend, there was only one clear option.
"Have fun with your woman then," He smirked, "But I'm not covering for you with the teachers. You can face your old man yourself when he finds out your skipping. Leave some rent money will ya?" It stung a bit that Jeremy didn't tell him, but the kid'd come back sometime. Right? Besides, he shouldn't be hurt like some chic. Was he a man or no? Right. He was a man. He winked at Bri and flopped down on the couch, pressing play again in time for Mario to die a painful death. Behind him, he heard Bri hiss in sympathy.
Bri watched Mario tumble into the lava with is a sigh, she wanted to play, to reconnect with modern society, but decided that was probably NOT the best idea. She glanced at Jeremy, raising her eyebrows in a silent 'are you ready?'

Jeremy was expecting an outburst, a yelling match perhaps. Maybe even more questions. "Where are you going? Why with her? How? What about the rent?" and other such things. But none of them came and he blinked at Terrance, Jeremy's mouth a small 'o' of shock. Jeremy eyed Terrance for a moment before replying. "You don't have to cover for me and I'll leave you $500 for rent only. And she's not my wo- oh.. never mind." he muttered shaking his head. Terrance was Terrance. All there was left to do now was pack. He looked over at Brianna, seeing her staring at the TV and he chuckled. "I'm not ready yet. I have to pack us some food and water. There's not many places to stop over the ocean. We'll need the fresh water." He told her. "You can go ahead and play a couple of games while I pack." he grinned at her, cheekily. "Why don't you see if you can beat Terrance's score?" he disappeared into the kitchen and then popped his head back out. "Oh. and I'm sorry about that... whole thing with... Terrance..." and he disappeared again to pack.
He gathered a few cans of fruit, beans and a few other canned good items. Then he tossed a manual can opener into the pack. He went about pulling out water-bottles and, after a moment of hesitation, he placed a six pack of Coca-cola into the backpack.

Bri shot him a bright smile, her eyes lighting up, and flopped onto the couch, snatching the remote away from Terrance before he could protest and fighting her way through the first few levels in the next ten minutes. "You play Halo to much. Mario's not a shoot 'em up game."
Terrance muttered something that rhymed with 'Switch' under his breath.
"Don't swear, it's a sin." She scolded.
"I suppose you think you're a video game goddess." He growled sarcastically.
"Actually, this is the only one I play." Bri responded honestly, missing the sarcasm and the insult.
Terrance shook his head, kicked the power switch on the game cube and retreated to his room, slamming the door with a boom that sent flakes of paint shivering off the wall. She frowned after him and trotted into the kitchen, deciding that not saying anything would be best. "Ready to go?" She asked quietly, feeling guilty at having caused the fight between the two boys.
***
Knucker rolled over onto his back, floating beneath the surface of the waves, flicking ripples across the surface of the water with the fin on his tail. "What are they doing making babies? It has to have been at least an hour." Knucker drawled sarcastically. "Say...that gives me an idea... How opposed are you to fun at the humans expense?"

Jeremy winced as he heard the door slam shut and he peeked his head out, tossing another bottle of water into the bag. He zipped it up and set the heavy duffel bag down by the TV. "Well... that went well. He'll get over it later... I'm almost done. This is the food stuff. I need to pack clothes, real quick." he eyed her "No more pink pant fiasco's..." and he darted into his room, pulling a backpack out of his closet and tossing clothes into it and a spare pair of tennis shoes. He packed a his bathroom stuff, tooth brush and toothpaste, deodorant, thinking that he might regret not taking them.
Then he pulled a chair over to his room door and stood on it, reaching up to a small painting wider than it was tall. he removed it, reveling an open hole behind it with a small lock box. He retrieved this and grabbed the key from under a pile of video games. He unlocked it and sighed. he had said he would leave $500 it wouldn't leave them much more for extra emergency money. He counted out $500 in tens and twenty's then took another $400 out and slid that into his wallet, which hung on a chain and was attached securely to the belt loop of his pants.
It was a good thing his father made a killing (harhar) by going after dragons, he had learned to save ages ago and spent less and less of his allowance through the years. He wasn't poor, that was for certain.
-------
Kinon was curled by the water and he lifted his head lazily, looking at Knucker, one eye cracking open. "Hmm." He didn't exactly wish to think about their humans sexing each other up at the moment. But then he opened both eyes, glittering with interest. "What do you have in mind?"
((-the food bag is going to magically turn into a duffel bag. Hell ya-
Edit: 'sexing each other up' just for you Sam XD JUST FOR YOU since 'procreating' wasn't good enough xD))
((Editedit: $200 = $400 now since I'm epic fail and yeah... just... go with me on this *scratches head* Basically I want this to be... realistic sort of but not quite.... SO yes... he has saved a shit load of money... just... yeah))

Bri brushed her hair away from her face for the thousandth time, she really needed to cut her bangs. "You sure you don't want to keep them? We could make a scrap book or something." She grinned, the mental image of a 'my dragon and me' scrapbook, bound in pink jeans, coming to mind. She watched him take out the bills, suppressing her surprise. That was more money than she made in a month, maybe she wasn't saving her money right... Her family wasn't poor, but they weren't wealthy either. His dad must be loaded.
Bri glanced down at her own wal-mart swimsuit and board shorts, rubbing one foot, clad in converse she'd shoved her feet into as they had ran out of the cave, against the back of her other leg. (I forgot about her shoes!) She almost wished she had packed make up or something before she fiercely stuffed that feeling. Where had it come from anyways? She didn't wear make up, ever.
She watched Jeremy pack, then bounced to the door, flinging it open and slipping out into the sunshine, rolling forward on the balls of her feet as she waited for Jeremy to catch up. She'd feel better, underwater again, chasing after Knucker and playing with the Orca Whale's he got along with so well.
***
Knucker chuckled to himself, turning upright and sticking his head and neck up out of the water, glancing over at Kinon, "Well..."

The $500 was placed on top of the Gamecube and Jeremy sighed, adjusting the bag on his back as he picked up the food bag with a grunt and hefted it out of the room. He paused at the door and looked back. "Well... See you later then." and he shut the door carefully behind him. He followed after Bri and nodded to her. "Alright then. Let's get out of here." he adjusted the duffel bag and offered her a small smile. "Do you think he'll forgive me maybe?" he asked looking over his shoulder at the dorm tower with a frown, the smile sliding away. "I wonder how long we'll be gone." Bri had left her place in a whirlwind, quick with hardly time to think. But they weren't in such a hurry to get out of here and head away. No one had spotted their dragons yet, there was no threat. Because of this Jeremy was tempted to stick around a bit longer and say good bye to everything.
-------
Kinon snorted at the plan, tail flicking about "You are sick. Very, very sick..." he stated, then let out a low chuckle. "Let's do it."
(Umm For the record: I went braindead and forgot to post Jer packing a tent, matches and a... um... hang on I forgot the item x__X If I remember it I'll post a note xD)

Bri glanced over at him and felt guilty, here she was itching to get out and get to Florida, when Jeremy had to say good-bye to his home, because really, they didn't know when they were going to be back. IF they were going to be back. Bri shivered a bit as she considered just how much things had change, and would continue to change. It wasn't often she didn't have a plan, and she decided that she didn't like this whole 'flying along by the seat of your pants' deal.
"Do you want to... hang around or something?" She asked hesitantly, tearing her mind away from this whole change business and back to her original thought. She flicked her palm with her thumb, listening to the sound of the oceans in the background, just audible over the noises of everyday life buzzing around them.
***
Kinon gave a small chuckle under his breath and brushed Bri's mind with his own, not bothering to speak, just sending her a bit of his impatience.
***
Bri caught a waft of impatience that wasn't her own and sighed, Knucker. Of course. "I think our reptilian friends are growing impatient." She smiled brightly at Jeremy, tucking her dark thoughts of moments before into the back of her mind.

"No.. No." he shook his head. "It would make more sense if we left. We shouldn't stick around here anymore. Like Terrance said my dad keeps tabs on me, you know? Best if we head out." he glanced back again before turning to the road. "Yeah Kinon is bugging me too." the mental connection had opened on Kinon's end again and the dragon was urging him on with amusement gleaming dimly in his connection.
With one last glance backwards Jeremy shifted the packs and gave Bri a half hearted grin. "It's probably best if we stay here for the day and rest up. I should have enough water for us to last a week if we ration it and between us we have enough food to last a bit longer I suspect. Although." he paused, cocking his head to the side. "Do you even need water or...? I mean what sort of side effects does being bonded with Knucker give you?"
((Ok um soo I think you were gonna edit one of your past posts to include Bri snatching up the pink pants? Or we can both make a note in our next posts saying we agree that Bri snatched them up so you don't have to edit it?
"I agree that Bri snatched those funky pants and so we don't have to go back and edit our posts KTHX"))

"I need more water than your typical person actually." Bri responded stuffing her hands in her pockets, glancing down at the pink pants she had rolled up and stuffed in the crook of her elbow. She would shove them in her duffel bag when they got back to the dragons. Side effects, side effects, aside from the obvious, what had she noticed? She lowered her voice to a whisper, casting an anxious glance at the people on the street around her, making sure she wasn't overheard "Well, I breathe underwater, and underwater I can withstand pressures that most normal people couldn't. If what the luck dragon said is true, then somehow I can help stop storms and natural disasters, although I have no idea how. But Knucker says there are drawbacks too, although I haven't experienced them yet myself. I can breath easier in salt water than in fresh, Knucker says he gets an odd burning feeling in chlorinated water, so I haven't tried jumping in a pool yet. Not since bonding with him. He can't breath at all in overly-polluted water. I've only been once, and I couldn't either." She shivered at the memory. "I haven't tried since." She sighed. "Sorry for monolouging at you."
She bit her lip in the silence, falling in step beside him, her fingers twitching against her palms. She'd feel better when they were closer to the ocean, to Knucker. "What about you?'

She seemed to have discovered a lot of different abilities. She was apologizing for speaking s much? On the contrary! He loved it! His eyes lit up a bit as he listened to her abilities "So you can travel deep into the ocean?" he asked, glancing over at her, mind taken off (momentarily) of leaving his home. "How deep have you gone?" he seemed truely interested in what she had to say and he grinned before the smile slid off his face into one of confusion. "You can actually control your element? I mean, water wise. You can summon it or move it around?" he asked. He couldn't do that. He couldn't control the air, not consciously at any rate. Once he'd gotten angry with his father and a small wind storm had been whipped up.
Then she asked about his powers and he sighed. His list of 'powers' or 'abilities' was much smaller than hers, pathetically so. "Well so far I can breath at high altitudes and adjust to the lack of pressure in the sky. We haven't gone much higher than oh... I'd say 30,000 feet." he grinned. "Almost hit an airplane that time. Kinda sucked a bit. Scared the crap out of the people who saw us. Um... let's see I can hold my breath a long time..." Yeah... that really was a short list.

Bri grinned at him "Poor pilot must've had a heart attack. WOW! Flying sounds awesome... I bet you save a lot of money on air fare, huh? Knucker and I have been pretty deep, he's been much deeper than I have. He took me to see the Titanic one weekend... that was awesome! He's been much deeper than I have. He says he's seen a couple of Hydrothermal vents..." Bri's voice trailed off wistfully. "I've never been able to actually control water, but Gildileth sort of hinted that I might be able to, well, that we all might be able to somehow. I kind of doubt it though. It doesn't make sense."
She felt Knucker brush her mind again and sighed, "We should probably head back." She laughed, turning her steps towards where the dragons would be. She perked up as they got closer to the dragons, grinning. She heard Knucker laugh quietly in her head, but brushed it off. He must've been laughing at Kinon, or planning something... Naw. She reached the ledge above the cave, skidding down the slope on her butt, she almost fell over her flip-flops upon reaching the bottom, blushing at her own clumsiness.

"Ohhh!" he voice grew wistful as well as she spoke. "He's actually seen them?" he sighed. "I've only seen pictures. I'd love to see the vents someday though." Then he was smiling again "Yeah, the plane had a bit of a bumpy moment, but they stabilized fairly quickly, we were gone by then though." He had, apparently, misunderstood her when she had spoken about her powers. Jeremy suddenly felt better, knowing she couldn't control her powers at all either. "Well I might have actually summoned up some wind... but probably not." he shrugged. "Might have been Kinon responding to my anger. But when I got mad at my dad once for..." he trailed off momentarily. "Anyway, I got mad at him and this small wind storm whipped up and then died down pretty quickly."
As they made their way into the cave Jer had to hold back a small laugh as Bri tripped and slid. He slid after her and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Are you alright?" Jer glanced at her up and down before flicking his eyes to the dragons.
Kinon was waiting for them with a smirk on his face. "About time." the smirk disappeared so fast in both his face and in the tone of Kinon's voice that Jer almost thought he had imagined it. "We have something extremely important to tell you both. You need to hear this."
He sounded so serious! Dead serious and Jer grew stoney faced. "What? What is it?"
(I give yee permission to post like a one or two liner since... I'm cool like that and we both know what's coming ya....)

Knucker settled in, laying iwth his feet tucked under him, head held high, looking pleased with himself. Bri frowned suspiciously. "We have something very important to tell you. I'm Pregnant." The usual teasing not that was in his voice when he joked around.
Bri was pretty sure her brain had stopped working for a minute, "What?" She stuttered, unsure of whether to laugh or faint. She'd probably just misunderstood him.

Kinon nodded solemnly. "Yes... Knucker is pregnant. It happened quite suddenly you see... But there is something even more important that you should know.... See...." he paused and glanced up to Jeremy and then to Brianna before looking away. As though... as though he were embarrassed about what he was going to say. "You see.... I am the father." From there he spoke quickly. "You see it happened suddenly. This feeling just came over us and from that point on we knew that we had to help the dragon race re-grow! I know it's sudden but... well... You still love us don't you? Grandma?" He was struggling to keep a straight face as he looked at Brianna. "Grandpa?" he looked to Jeremy with pleading eyes.
Jeremy stood there, staring between the two of them, mouth gaping like a fish. His mind raced and he latched on too the only thing he could think of. "B... But you.. you're both gu-"
Kinon cut him off by holding up a hand. "Guys. Yes... Yes we are. But you see. When dragons are endangered of becoming extinct then some males can change their gender. And... well you guys were gone for so long." He looked down at the ground again, hiding his laughing eyes.
