He tilted his head at her, obviously they were both uncomfortable now and he shifted again. "No need to be sorry. He's a nice guy, he really is. But..." he looked to Kinon, who returned his gaze. "As long as he doesn't find out we're fine. He treats you like a normal kid, his son."
Jeremy patted Kinon's neck "You go off and have some fun, get to know Knuc -Xenis." Kinon bent his head to nudge Jeremy's shoulder with his large nose. "Stay safe." he stretched his small wings and grimaced at the feeling of salt. "Got any fresh water around here Xenis?" Well it seemed that Jeremy was no longer needed here, so he smiled softly and jogged after Bri.
He glanced around the room as they entered and sighed, it was, perhaps, a bit smaller than the dorm room he called his own. But it was home to him for now, at least until his stuff dried. When she stuttered over the word 'boxers' he grinned at her, holding back a laugh. "Thanks." he caught the shorts and T-shirt easily but fumbled when the boxers were handed to him.
"Ok I have a number of questions and observations regarding this. One is why did he leave his boxers behind? Are they washed? And why the hell are do they have pink hearts and cupids on them?" he gingerly took them from her. "And generally when girls hand or toss me underwear they're yelling at me to 'get the hell out' of their room." He couldn't help adding that in with a wide cheeky grin. He couldn't help but poke a little fun at her to try and ease the tension.

Bri felt the blood rush to her cheeks, shooting him a small smile. "You'd be amazed what I guy forgets when Sara's chasing him out of the house at two in the morning. Actually, these are quite mild for her collection. I figured you'd like boxers more than fishnets." She felt her ears go red at the last comment. Did she really just say that? She mentally apologized to whatever deity was listening, she was sure to go to hell for that comment. "And of course they're washed."
She decided to let his last comment go unremarked feeling incredibly behind the times, having never even kissed a boy herself. "I'm going to change." She slipped into the bathroom, washing her face as if to scrub her blush away and yanking on jeans and a t-shirt, pulling her hair back in a pony tail.
"How bout that ice cream?" She yelled, emerging from the bathroom and silently praying her room mates didn't turn up to ask questions best left unasked.
***
Xenis/Knucker kicked up towards the surface. "There's a nice valley outside of town with a little lake in it. I don't leave the ocean much myself, but Bri says it's quite nice. It's down the shore, south of here" He flicked his tale in the direction of the valley he was talking about. "I always get nervous leaving her unattended." He muttered, more to himself than the other dragon, swimming south along the shoreline.

He looked at the boxers in his hand and shook his head. "I um... don't think fishnets would fit me." he said, but he laughed at her embarrassed expression, attempting to shrug off the awkwardness of the situation. "Um but thanks for the clothes."
After Brianna had gone Jeremy peeled off his own wet T-shirt and paused. She hadn't exactly given him a towel to dry off with. He grimaced and proceeded to pull on the OwlCity T-shirt. It was, perhaps, a tiny bit too big, but it wasn't wet. He proceeded to strip off his pants and his own boxers and with another grimace of distaste he pulled on the heart and cupid ones. "This is so..." but words failed him and as he slid over to the railing, and draped his things over it with pursed lips. She had said something about roommates right? Oh the awkward questions that would be asked...
Jeremy turned around just as the front door was flung wide open and a young girl of about seventeen flounced in, curly brown hair bouncing against her shoulders. He froze, still clutching the dry (probably too small) shorts. She stopped, mouth open in a slight 'o' of surprise. Then she pointed one manicure finger and stared.
"Oy! 'ou are you?" her british accent was slight but noticeable to him and he flushed, opening his mouth to respond when Bri returned from the bathroom. Oh hell. The awkwardness tipped the scales right over. Jeremy almost swore, caught himself, and scuttled to the couch with a flush.
"Well hell... this is... rather..." he trailed off waving one hand in the air.
"'ou is he? And why is 'e wearin Jack's boxers?" The woman turned flinging a bright cherry red bag to the ground and placing her hands on curvy hips as she faced Brianna. She seemed more amused, a glint in her eyes, than angry. In fact she seemed rather... proud, Jeremy realized. And then it hit him, how it must have seemed to this new girl.
He in a borrowed T-shirt and boxers and Brianna slipping out of the bathroom after having changed. Well hell indeed...
(Enter: Sarah! *cheers* Forgive my crap text accent. I'm trying to hear it in my head and it just isn't working very well *scowl*)

Bri felt her face grow hot again, she swallowed. "Sara, um, this is Jeremy. Jeremy, this is Sara. He...fell in the ocean. So I offered to loan him some clothes." She was a terrible liar, and this was more or less the truth. Just minus the dragon-sized details. Sadly she knew exactly what would get Sara to stop asking questions, and gave her friend a broad, guilty sort of grin, knowing the conclusions Sara would draw. She was going to hell for this, it was official.
The door opened again, just grand, Tammi was here to. "'ello?" Came the call from the entryway, "Who's here?" Tammi entered, looking from Jeremy to Sara to Brianna and a look of delight washed over her face.
"I must say Bri, it's about time." She sing-songed. Bri could've kicked her.
"Yeah. We were just leaving." Bri hurried to brush the comment off.
"Don't you two hurry at all, we'll be in the kitchen, right Sara?" Tammi had to work hard to keep her face neutral, she'd known Bri for a few months now and hadn't once seen her with a guy. She was starting to wonder if Bri even liked boys.

"Ohh Fell in the Ocean? Huh?" Sarah let out a laugh as she winked at Bri. The guilty grin spread over Bri's face and Sarah gave a little shriek of delight. "Oh Brianna are you joking? You actually? With 'im?!" she turned to really look at the blushing Jeremy, who was dumb struk, eyes flicking between the two girls, trying to figure out what exactly they were talking about.
"'E's good enough?" She eyed him critically. "He's a bit scrawny and his hair could do with a good clipping. And that tattoo on his head is a bit.. Mmm" she trailed off with a grin. "Oh 'ou am I kidding!" She flung her arms around Bri with another shriek. "You DID IT!"
Jeremy sucked in air when it hit him. They ment that.... "Hey! Hey now wait! W-wait a second. I'm not. We didn't! She.. I we... um... Hang on! I'm not scrawny!" he plucked at a strand of hair near his face. And he didn't need a hair cut... He was about to continue his protests, taking a deep breath, only to let it whoosh out on a strangled growl as another girl walked in. "Timing..." he snarled under his breath. He tried to dip a bit lower behind the couch and make himself invisible, no go though. Tammi could see him, did see him.
And then they were off and talking about it again. As if they had... "No hang on! We-"
"Oh? Leaving? You were? But I just got in! Tam did too! I don' want'ya to leave, this is getting good!" Sarah turned to Brianna. "You have to tell me everything! Every dirty little detail!" She lifted perfect eyebrows and waggled them. "Was it good?"
Jeremy could only sink lower behind the couch on a strangled groan.

More than ever, Bri really really wished she could drown. "If I say yes will you leave us alone?" She asked Sarah, mostly because she knew that that was probably a safe thing to say to get the other two out of the room. Every instinct screamed at her to run from the room, run to the ocean, jump in and never come back. With great effort of will, she remained where she was, smirked at Sarah and Tammi. She waited until they had retreated to the kitchen, snickering and 'ooh'ing.
Once they were out of site, her legs buckled, she slipped down the wall and burried her face in her knees. "I'm going to hell." She moaned. Glancing up she sighed at Jeremy. "Put your pants on so we can leave... please?" Unable to make eye contact for more than a split second, she focused on tieing her shoes, doing her best to pretend that all of that had never happened. What was she going to tell Sarah? Because she would have to come home sometime, and the other girl WOULD ask. It was an inevitable fact of life.

Sarah laughed again. "I won't be satisfied with just tha'!" she laughed happily and allowed Tammi to drag her out of the room, giggling. Jeremy eyeed the now closed door and nervously shoved his hair out of his eyes.
He couldn't look at her, couldn't meet her eyes just yet as she laced up her shoes. He leaned forward against the couch and sighed deeply. Jeremy lifted a hand to his face and rubbed his eyes, trying to push the embarrassment from his mind, and failing.
"Are you kidding me? Really. They... You live with them and they..." he was at a loss for words, he could see that Brianna was just as uncomfortable as he was. He scratched his nose and tilted his head, thinking. "Am I really that scrawny?" he asked suddenly, the redness in his cheeks slowly disappearing as he tried to put the incendent behind him.
"Technically these aren't my pants." He glanced at the shorts in his hand, a smile flickered over his face and then his lips turnde down in a small frown. They wouldn't fit him... And if he asked she'd probably come up with some other idea. Like a skirt or something. He shuddered at that and shook his head. "Can't you go nick some pants from the laundry room? Or... do you guys have a communial laundry room here? Or maybe you could go buy me some pants? I'd pay you back." He'd wear just about anything other than the shorts... or a skirt.

Bri felt the blush reciding from her cheeks as she disappeared back into the 'ex-boyfriend pile' at the back of Sarah's closet. "Black Leather or Pink Skinny Jeans?" She teased, re emerging with a pair of blissfully ordinary jeans. "You're in luck. We do have normal pants in this house after all." She offered them to him with a blush.
"And no, you're not scrawny." She informed him in a quiet voice, feeling the need to correct Sarah's insult. She felt a bit of the awkwardness leave the atmosphere and breathed a bit easier. "I'm going to grab my change purse." She ducked into the kitchen, doing her best to duck Sarah and Tammi's questions "We're going out for ice cream." She told them, letting them draw their own conclusions. Shoving her feet into her converse, she waited for him to finish changing, feeling a bit like a caged cat, wanting desperately to flee the apartment.

He watched her go, presumably to look through the pile of clothes which she had dragged the shirt and boxers out of. He heard her voice as she returned. "Well given the options I think Pink actually brings out the color in this T-shirt and perhaps my eyes." He plucked at said T-shirt and grinned at her when she held out the normal jeans. He leaned farther over the sofa, groping at them until he hooked a finger around the waist band and pulled them too him.
He slid into them and zipping them up and buttoning the top snap. "A bit baggy, but they'll do." he informed her with a chuckle.
'And no, you're not scrawny.' his smule brightened a tad. "Oh that's good to hear." he told her, smacking his stomach with a flat hand. "I have been watching my weight lately, thought I may have too much." the sentance was said in amused tones, joking with her as he came, barefooted around the sofa. "Ice cream it is then." Jeremy actually didn't mind being barefoot, he was used to it, feeling the ground beneath his feet.
As they passed the closed door and Sarah shouted to her friends he heard a giggle and he grimaced, slinking past the door as quickly as he could. Even though the awkwardness had died a bit the heavy feeling in the room made him want to run, slam the door and never look back. Bri's friends were absolutly crazy! Bonkers! Jeremy could only give his head a small shake.
"Would they follow you?" he asked suddenly, once they were out in the hall. "I mean... from er... what I gathered you've never um.. had a boyfriend before?" He tilted his head at her, dark blue eyes shifting to the wall just over her shoulder. "So I mean, would they tail you, follow you to spy on you and then give you hell about it later?" he asked.

Bri shook her head vigerously, falling in step beside him on the sidewalk, glad to be out of that apartment. "Heavens, No. Strange they may be, they'll stop short of stalking. Sarah owes me for not complaining about all of her men." She glanced down at his feet and added as an afterthought "Sorry about the shoes, those seem to be the one things guys remember as they're fleeing the room." She glanced over at the wall, hard to believe that just an hour ago she'd sat there and watched Kinon and Jeremy fall out of the sky.
"How did you find Kinon?" She asked quietly, hoping any passers-by wouldn't understand what she was talking about. Ahead of them, she could see the Ice Cream shop on the street corner, with only a few customers eating at the tables outside, music drifted out of a window somewhere above them, the late evening air was warm. She bounced excitedly on the balls of her feet, taking a deep breath.

He laughed at that. "Well us guys can easily explain away missing our shoes, but our pants? Hah!" He shook his head with anothed laugh. The walk to the ice cream shop was rather quiet. He enjoyed the sceanery as they walked along. It was a nice night and the small town was lit up, making quite a nice sight.
When they reached the ice cream shop and eyed what they had. "Lets go with a scoop of mint chocolate chip and a scoop of chocoalte fudge swirl in a waffle cone, please." He glanced over towards Brianna. "I'll get Kinon's before we leave, he'd bite my head if it was ice cream soup." Jeremy laughed, " And Bri?" he looked at her, meeting her eyes for the first time since they had left the appartment. "Thanks. I appreciate it." He nodded one at her and reached for the cones.
"Hah now that's an interesting one." when they sat down he studied his cone. "So my father is a.. um Dragon hunter. He travels all over the place. It happened to be that he was in the Himalaya's. I was at one of the temples and he was off on the mountains being the butcher that he is." he grimaced. "I snuck out for a walk, climbing the mountain. Ask me then and I would have told you that I just wanted to get away. Ask me now and I'll say that it was Kinon calling too me." he shrugged. "I stumbled upon an Air dragon nest in a deep cave. Despite my mark his mother nearly bit my head off and ripped me to shreds. She didn't want to trust her egg to a human like me." He winced and then offered a small smile. "But I got out unscathed." Jeremy nodded to the ocean. "And Kinon hatched about a week later. The monks there thought I was going to become too chubby and so doubled my exorcise regement when I started 'eating' twice the food I normally did." Jeremy laughed at the memory.

(Haha. I must have been editing mine just as you were posting yours, ignore my edits. I'm just being obsessive. Hehe.)
Bri set Knucker's cone aside, licking at her own ice cream as she listened to his story, laughing quietly as he explained the increase in his work-out regimen, wincing almost unconciously when he mentioned his father was a dragon hunter.
"I kept Knucker, er, Xenis, in a bath tub for the first week or so until I found a lake to keep him in. My parents were starting to wonder why they couldn't use the upstairs bathroom." She laughed quietly at the memory of the toilet incident, as she always did. "He had to move to the ocean after a dragon hunter incident..." Her voice trailed off, reluctant to go into detail.
"What are we supposed to do now?" She rubbed her palm iritably, taking another bite of ice cream. "All the luck dragon said was that we were going to save the world. We were going to be important..." She said this quietly, glancing around to make sure no one was nearby first.

Jeremy ate his icecream slowly, grinning over it at her. "I bet that was hard, hiding it from them. It's amazing how big Xenis must have grown since you go thim. I know when Kinon hatched he was only about two and a half feet long." Jeremy stiffened slightly then when she mentioned a dragon hunter incident. "Where were you again when this happened? Where in the world?" he wanted to be sure, absolutly sure that it hadn't been his own father doing the hunting. "And when? What year?" He fell silent and then he thought about the name. Knucker. "Knucker... isnt' that some sort of old type of Water dragon or something?"
He shifted his eyes around the people, looking at each one caustiously before talking. "Well when he spoke to me he said that two of the six, if you don't count Kinon that is, is in the East." he gestured to her with one hand as he finished his ice cream cone. As she rubbed her hand he felt a pang of unease, he had forgotten to cover his mark and he touched it with one finger gingerly. "Well I found two, you and Knucker." he pointed at her again and thought about it. "Did he, Gilideth, give you any clues at all? And what do you think he expects us to really do?"
(Eep I forgot. Heh. The Luck dragon basically is going to send them all in one direction. Erm *tilts head* Let's saaaay North-west-ish so he tells two of the humans to go in a certain direction (in my case Jer went East) and then the other two are told that when they find the other's they must go in a North-Westerly direction until they find everyone. *totally just made it all up and it will do for this Roleplay right now*)

"We were in Ohio. About four months ago." She said, biting her lip. "A lake in the southern part of the state." She bit off of her ice cream cone, hurridly pushing onto the next question. "He told me to go east, which I suppose works, since I was in Ohio at the time. East to England, and we met you and Kinon. And after that, North-west to find the other four."
She smiled at the Knucker comment, "Yeah. They're worm-like english water demons that supposedly hide in wells waiting to eat any fair maiden that should wander their way. At least, that's what my dad told me." She laughed, "He was a pencil pusher though. Knucker almost got himself flushed down the toilet, and somehow the nick name evolved from there..."

He tilted his head as she spoke, tapping a finger on his chin, head tilted downwards. 'we were in Ohio. About four months ago.' And he froze, teeth clenching and face paling ever so slightly. About four months ago Jeremy had been in Ohio with his father, trying his hardest to hide little Kinon from his father. The whole reason they had been there in the first place was because of a reported sighting of a water dragon in Ohio. "Ohio. Right. Um." he cleared his throat a bit and moved swiftly on to the subject of Knuckers.
"Right, yes. I've heard of them but I've never done much research on them." he chuckled a bit and leaned back in his chair, shifting a tad uncomfortably. Four months... His mind was whirling. It had to have been his father who had gone after poor Knucker. He shuddered, attempting to get his mind off it, frowning a tad as he shifted in his seat to look over at Brianna. "So when did you move out here?" he lifted a hand and motioned to the college and the surrounding town.
