"Yes, exactly. They just swarm about and try to bite you." Kinon said simply, lapsing into silence. Jeremy however was working things over in his mind. They had to search out the others, find them and then figure out what to do once they found them. He already was getting to know water. But what of Earth and Fire? And what of the hunters that would certainly be after them? How could they find the other four? He tilted his head and then leaned against one of Kinon's horns with a sigh.
He closed his eyes, brow furrowed in thought, only to snap them open when Knucker let out a shout of 'land ho!'. Kinon floated down a bit farther, hovering just out of reach of the land, eyeing the small island warily. "Don't worry. It should be safe. It's just one night." Jer patted Kinon's head reassuringly and with a snort Kinon landed, back arching and tail flicking the sand. He stood there for a moment and then leaned his head down so that Jer could jump off. "You know that, eventually, you should learn to climb down and up yourself, without my help." the sky blue eyes glittered in amusement. Kinon shook his head, and then looked to the sky. "You know that I have the stamina to fly through the night. You and I could go ahead and gather the items you need and then come back for her."
Jeremy thought about this, looking out over the ocean and then over to Brianna. 'No. I don't think so Kinon. If we split up and Hunters came searching... We can't risk it, if we had gone farther out then perhaps..." With a shake of his head Jer wandered over to Bri, Kinon following along behind him awkwardly, taking short steps on stubby legs, whiskers just barely touching the sand.
"So we sleep here tonight. We'll leave as soon as we wake. Sound good to you?" he paused thinking. "No fire tonight either, I don't think we're far out enough."

Knucker splashed up out of the water and onto land, his tail gouging a line in the sand behind him, he flexed his claws and surveyed the beach with distaste. "There's a much nicer place we could sleep on the edge of the Atlantic ridge."
"I'm sure it would be very safe, until Kinon and Jeremy drowned." Bri informed him, slipping down from his back and wringing water from her hair.
She glanced up as Jeremy approached her. "Sounds good to me! I have food if ya want some," She gestured to her bag, "All nice and water proof." Kneeling, she jerked the zipper back to reveal a dry interior. "I bloody love this bag! I'm changing into something dry." She grabbed a set of clothes out of the bag. "I'll be...behind a tree or something." Knucker followed her with his gaze as she slipped out of sight, re-emerging a minute later with her hair pulled up, wearing a pair of old cut-off jeans and a tank top.
She glanced back in the direction they'd come and frowned, the farther away they got, the more comfortable she'd be. Knucker flicked his tail back and forth, "If we're trying to be discrete, then we should probably find someone to sleep away from the beach where any old Tom, Dick or Harry with the satellite feature on Googe Earth could see a pair of giant dragons."

Jer lifted an eyebrow at Knucker. "Atlantic Ridge eh? It would be pretty safe. But um.. I think we'll pass on that." Food. Now there was a though. Kinon lifted his head snorting softly as he snaked his head around to look at Brianna. "Is there enough there for me then?" he asked, a glimmer of amusement in his voice.
Jer sighed slightly and patted Kinon's shoulder. "If you're hungry go catch a bat or something." "Their wings get caught between my teeth." The statement was simple and Jeremey rolled his eyes. "An eagle then. A flock of geese." "They are sleeping birdbrain." Kinon paused at his choice of words and stared down at Jeremy with a contemplative stare. Jeremy shifted, rolling his shoulders as Brianna went off to change. "Yeah..." he muttered turning away. Kinon chuckled softly, a soft 'guff' sound in the back of his throat.
When she returned Jeremy was sitting on the sand with a stick in his hand, drawing things in the sand, random designs, thinking over the adventure ahead. If you could call it that. He looked up when Bri came forward and Jeremy tilted his head at Knuckers suggestion. "If it's gonna be anyone it should be you Knucker." he pointed out. "You can sleep under water... Or... well I guess Kinon could sleep in the air. He did it once before. But it's rather dangerous and he's been flying all day..." Jeremy looked over to Knucker. "So the most logical thing that should be done is for you." he pointed at Knucker with the stick. "To sleep underwater, right?'

Knucker glanced at Bri "Care to join me?"
Bri shook her head, "I look forward to being dry. For the next few hours at least."
Knucker nosed her gently, and then turned, slipping into the sea. "I think I'll find a dolphin for dinner, I didn't get the chance to catch one earlier... Some great dragon fell out of the sky and scared them all away..."
"I wish he wouldn't kill dolphins." Bri sighed after he had gone, "They're so sweet." She smiled, remembering the first time he had introduced her to dolphins. Well, told her where to find them and she had gone on alone. They wouldn't come anywhere near the dragon so fond of eating them, not willingly at least.
Bri reached into the bag and hesitated, chocolate or nutritional, she reached for the chocolate. "Screw health food." She muttered under her breath, taking a bite and feeling a little bit rebellious. She glanced down at his doodling, "To your place and then south west! I have a cousin in Florida..." She grinned at the idea of showing up with Jeremy on her cousin, Nick's doorstep.

Kinon eyed Knucker as he slithered into the sea, taking one parting shot as he went. "Stupid overgrown crocodile." Kinon muttered with a shake of his head, tossing his whiskers a bit. He finally settled down, crossing his front paws in a dignified manner, the rest of his body wound around himself.
"I wish Kinon didn't kill eagles or any of the larger birds." Jeremy responded, prodding the dirt once more with the stick. "But he does. He needs to eat after all. And Knucker does too." he looked to the sea where Knucker had disappeared. "Florida huh?" he asked with a small nod. "Sounds good to me. Now then, about sleeping. We should really sleep in shifts." he said looking over to Brianna with dark blue eyes. "We have four of us. I can take first watch, you the second and then Knucker and Kinon can split the last of the hours. How does that sound Brianna?"
"Sounds like a plan to me." Input Kinon. "Since you don't really have a place to sleep." he said, slightly grudgingly. "You can curl up over here." He patted one paw on the ground in between of his paws and then with a stubby hand he patted his curled body.

Bri glanced in the direction Knucker had vanished, then smiled at Jeremy, "Sounds like a plan."
She curled up on the spot indicated, using her bag as a pillow, and fell quickly to sleep. Muttering, "Wake me when ya need me." As she yawned and dropped off.
Knucker finished his Dolphin before paddling back to shore, settling just beneath the waves, holding his head above the water to survey the scene before swimming off to circle the island and return when it was his turn for watch.

Jeremy watched her settle down between Kinon's paws and then looked over his shoulder, out over the ocean. Kinon eyed his human before settling down, laying his long head beside his paws, eyes half lidded. "I'll wake you, no problem." he said waving a hand dismissively, before turning around to look out at the darkened ocean. It was boring sitting there, or at least it would have been for any other person but Jeremy was lost in his thoughts, staring at the starry sky. He drew circles with his stick in the sand. He began to think about the task at hand, finding the other four, much as he had been practically the entire day, wondering, thinking. Then his thoughts went to Knucker, down below the ocean. He knew about water dragons, but not as much as he wanted to. How did they breath under water? Was it gills or perhaps they breathed with their skin? What about eating. Oh he knew that Knucker ate dolphins, that had been said moments before. But what else might he eat down there? Had he ever gotten in spats with wales or other large marine animals?
He yawned widely, eyes drooping shut and he glanced to Kinon, who cracked an eye open sleepily. "I think your shift is over. Any longer and you'll fall face first in the sand." He lifted his paw a bit, jostling Brianna before closing his eyes. Jeremy, once making sure that she was fully awake, climbed sleepily up Kinon's short leg and too his back, stretching out between his two small wings, nestling into the soft fur there. "Good night." He muttered softly and was asleep within seconds.

Bri glanced at the pair out of the corner of her eye, they made kind of a cute pair. She fixed her attention on the ocean, out over the water in Knucker's direction. He turned his attention to her and kicked up towards the surface, lifting his head above the water before flashing his tail in her direction. She wiggled her fingers at him in response.
She glanced down at Jeremy's circles in the sand, picking up the stick and frowning at the doodle before adding various spokes and boxes to the doodle, erasing gently with her foot in some spots, turning the doodle into a drawing of a little car. She had met an Air dragon today, heard of Fire and Earth dragons, and of course there was Knucker and the luck dragon. What else was out there, what other fantastic things were out there to explore?
Hours passed before she yawned broadly, drooping a bit as the minutes ticked slowly past. Knucker slipped silently from the water and poked her with his nose, she moved aside and allowed him to settle in, before curling up against his side, pressing the mark on her palm to his, careful to avoid his claws. She fell asleep with her face pressed into his side.
Knucker glanced over at Kinon, meeting the other dragon's eyes before turning to gaze out over the ocean, watching for any disturbance in the waves. He glanced down at Bri again, and gently nosed her so that she didn't lay so awkwardly on her left arm.

Kinon gathered many hours of sleep in the one night, enough to make him feel rested and restored when he woke for his shift. He sat there, staring at the sky. But he made sure to keep an eye on the two humans, well aware of the fact that Knucker could easily take care of himself and hardly needed looking after. The humans however.... Humans were fragile twigs that could be broken so very easily. A wrong movement of the tail and they would be broken in half, a careless flick of the claw and they would be gutted, innards spread across the sand. So many things could kill them, so many things could harm them and yet, for whatever reason, he, Kinon, depended on one of them. And not just him but the rest of his kind as well. They could always fight back, of course, kill the humans. But how many more of them would die? How much dragon blood would be spilled before they won. Humans could overpower them with sheer numbers, and yet they were so stupid. Abysmally stupid. They would kill and war against the very creatures that fought to keep the earth alive and running smoothly. The very earth that they, the humans, made their homes on.
The sun rose slowly, Kinon watching it with bright eyes. Once a ship crossed the horizon, small and moving fast. Kinon straightened his neck and peered at it, narrowing eyes, but it sped off and wasn't seen again. When the sun was glinting over the water more brightly, signaling that, perhaps, it was six or seven am. He nudged his wings, attempting to rouse the human nestled between them. "Wake up."
Nergh..." Was the intelligent response from Jeremy as he turned and curled up, nestling deeper into fur and feathers.

Bri woke to the sun hanging low over the eastern horizon, stretching and twisting her neck to work some of the kinks out. Standing, she rubbed Knucker's neck and glanced over to see Jeremy asleep between Kinon's wings. Aaaawww.
She slipped away to change into the blue bathing suit she'd brought, pulling on a pair of gray board shorts and letting her hair hang down around her face. Whistling brightly, she kicked a slosh of water in Knucker's direction.
"Do you really want to get into a splashing contest with a Water Dragon?" He asked, sounding amused.
She frowned, reconsidering. "Probably not." She glanced over at Jeremy, grinning broadly. "Good Morning!" She called cheerfully, Grabbing a nutri-grain bar out of her bag and tossing another at Jeremy. "To Ireland!" She shouted brightly. Taking a bite off of her breakfast and twirling in the sand, bouncing excitedly.
Knucker stood, flicking his tail, widening the fan at the end of it and bringing it down on an incoming wave with a slosh, dumping water all over Bri. She spluttered a protest. "That's Cheating!"
Knucker made a chuckling noise that sounded an awful lot like dragon laughter.

He grumbled softly, unhappily as he rolled over, turning his head away from the sun, attempting to ignore the chatter behind him and around him. "Keep talking I think he might actually wake up soon." Kinon's paddle like tail flicked the sand, sending it flying into the ocean and he shook his head. Kinon snaked his head around to stare down his snout at Kinon, teeth flashing as his lips raised. "Waken or I will send you flying."
"Mmm...." He snuggled deeper. Bri then tossed the Nutri-grain Bar at him. It hit him square in the back of the head and he jolted up right with a bleary, shocked look on his face. A hand reached up to touch his head gingerly, looking confused; at the exact same moment wind whipped around him, causing a small tornadoes of sorts that tore him from Kinon's back and sent him flying into the ocean, where he bobbed up, flailing, splashing and spluttering.
"Oops... Did I do that?" Kinon inspected a claw on his front hand innocently.

Bri tried to suppress a laugh, she really did. She pressed her lips together, spluttering oddly, then a chuckle before bending over, clutching her stomach. "Ah-ah ha-Ha. Are you-Ha!" She snorted "Okay?" She finally managed to choke off through near-tears.
"Good morning." Bri greeted him, once she had gotten herself under control. "Sleep well?"
Knucker watched the whole thing unfold, looking very amused. "To Ireland today? He asked, searching for something sarcastic today, but, perhaps for the first time in his life, at a loss for words.

Splashes and a curse came from water as Jeremy flailed a bit more in the water before gathering his wits about him and freestroking to the shore, dragging his body out of the water and collapsing on the sand on his back.
"Uhhh..." the intellegent response had him closing his eyes. "Not cool Kinon. Not cool." "Hmm? Oh you're awake now?" A glare was the only response that Kinon received and he snorted, shaking his head with his laughter. "I never tire of your antics." "I am so glad that I amuse you."
Jeremy rolled to his knees and pushed himself to his feet, trying in vain to wipe wet sand from his clothing, failing miserably and soon he gave up with a sigh. "Good morning to you all as well. And yes. To Ireland." he finally answered their questions, raising his arms up in a small shrug. "Where else are we to go? I obviously need a change of clothes now."

Bri clapped a hand to her mouth, eyes wide. "Um. It was a joke I swear, I didn't think you would get your clothes wet." She shoved the bag at him. There, at the bottom, was a T-Shirt and the pink pants. She giggled before stuffing the noise, thinking it was probably rude to laugh at his predicament.
Knucker peered over her shoulder. "Why did you bring pink pants? What WERE you doing in your apartment yesterday?"
Bri flushed. Crap. She hadn't told him of their awkward encounter yet. Blushing furiously the whole time, she recounted their tale in a quiet voice.
"You two have got to be the most awkward humans ever." Knucker concluded, snickering.
Bri didn't respond, shooting Jeremy an apollogetic smile, she wanted to laugh very badly, but didn't want to seem rude until she knew whether or not he was mad. "Sorry?" It was more of a question, asking whether or not it was safe to laugh, than an actual apology.

Jeremy lifted his eyebrows at Bri and frowned a bit, shrugging, the Nutri-grain bar forgotten by now, his simmering frustration mostly directed at the large air dragon near him. All frustration was forgotten when she shoved the bag at him and he stared in open mouthed shock and horror at the pants at the bottom. "No.. Nonono. Are you kidding me?" he grumbled at the bag and he shook it. "You actually brought them?"
He reached in and pulled them out with two fingers. "What are those"? Kinon snaked his head around and eyed the pink monstrosity. "You actually wear those?" Jeremy dropped the bag to the sand and stared at them in horror. "Well... I... Mean... Yeah I kind of have too." it seemed like each word was a struggle to say and he grimaced. "Wet Jeans aren't comfortable... And my other clothes are stiff and rough from the salt of the ocean." he scowled. "I'm not traveling in wet clothes and I don't want to wear the stiff ones so... So..." he trailed off before finding his voice again, resigned. "So... It is the most obvious choice..." he muttered.
He could only sigh when Bri explained how she had come to bring the pink pants and Kinon let out a snort of laughter. "I couldn't have said it better myself Xenis." He spoke slowly, shaking his head, attempting to control his bouts of laughter.
